Tree-Athlon 01/08/09

While looking at some marathon related pages, the word “fund raising” popped constantly up. I still did not spend any time on finding out how that’s actually working, but in the tweets of runalong i found a link to a much easier “run for good”-concept: the Tree Athlon.

You take part, raise awareness and in the end you get a tiny little tree, which you can plant wherever you think it would fit. Well, nearly.

It would be an ideal first official run for me, as it’s the quite short distance of 5km, but unfortunately it will only happen in the UK. Next year.
